Free Online Courses For The Lifelong Learner

“It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.”—Harry S. Truman

Being a lifelong learner is one of the ten commandments of becoming a writer. But these days, everyone must always be learning. With the free flow of information, everything is constantly changing and updating. You must educate yourself to keep up or you'll get left behind.

What We Now Know

Doctors once thought that you couldn't
grow new brain cells. As old cells died
you lost your knowledge. Now it's
believed the more learning you do as an
adult, the more brain cells that grow. You
can delay Alzheimer's disease by simply
keeping your brain active.

You Must Be A Lifelong Learner

Me? I love to learn and I'm always seeking out new knowledge. Learning is a challenge. And I love to challenge myself. With the invention of the internet learning has never been easier.

With a little searching

Over the past ten years I have found 1000's of free online courses and classes. I have over 1200 courses saved at Udemy. I stopped adding. I'll never be able to get through them all.

These days I play goal setting and productivity course at a high speed in the background. While I work, my subconscious is learning.

My Personal Development Journaling Action Plan For Procrastination

Procrastination can destroy your career. Or stop you from ever starting your dream career. Every writer has struggled with procrastination at some point. If you haven't, contact me, I want to know your secret.

My Story of Procrastinating

After almost ten years of trying to be a writer and become an author, I have just published my first kindle. An ebook of journaling prompts, Journal Prompts for Women. The first in my Creative Writing Journal Prompts series.

I've conquered the first step of overcoming my procrastination. But still I'm a perfectionist who is afraid of failing. And I'm still struggling.

My First Plan of Action

So why am I getting ready to start publishing two blogs--this one and Well, just to get started. I'm hoping that by doing these actions I will create momentum to do more.

My Second Plan of Action

The second thing I want to do I learned from Thomas Edison. To live up to his commitments Edison would hold a press conference to announce his new ideas. This gave him a sorta accountability partner.

That's what I plan to do here. I'm committing to my commitments by writing this blog of my journey.
